Katrina Kaif tests positive for COVID-19, BMC issues fresh alerts instructing film studios to not organise parties amid rise in cases

With rise in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai, now Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif tested positive for the virus. Earlier, Akshay Kumar, Kartik Aaryan and Aditya Roy Kapur also contracted the virus for the second time. Katrina was scheduled to begin shooting for Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming project 'Merry Christmas' with Vijay Sethupathi last week, but after she tested positibe, it had to be rescheduled. She also could not join husband Vicky Kaushal in Abu Dhabi for an award event. According to a report on a news portal, Katrina has completed her quarantine period. Meawhile, with the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai, the BMC has issued fresh alerts instructing film studios in K-West ward to not organise parties.
